PÖTTINGER at grassland show in Denmark
Thousands of visitors were impressed
PÖTTINGER has been successful with its machinery in Denmark for many years. In addition to grassland machines, there is also increasing demand for tillage machinery in this Scandinavian country.
This was the first time that PÖTTINGER presented its grassland machines at a major grassland event in Karup, a small town in the central area of Jutland in Denmark. The expected attendance of between 500 and 1,000 was far exceeded with around 3,000 visitors turning up on the day.
The grassland event with demonstrations and a machinery exhibition took place on 20 June at Frederik's Farm. The farm tends 300 ha, of which 100 ha is grassland and 200 ha is maize. They also have 300 cattle in sheds that need to be supplied with the best base forage. That is why this Danish farm relies on PÖTTINGER technology with a NOVACAT X8 mower and TOP 1252 rake.
During the demonstration, three different ways of using conditioners were presented using a NOVACAT V10. The front mower was fitted with a roller-type conditioner, one of the rear mowers had a tine-type conditioner, and the second rear mower was operated without a conditioner. The different results were clearly demonstrated.
A HIT 10.11 T tedder was then put into action, as well as a JUMBO 7210 COMBILINE loader wagon. The loader wagon was equipped with AUTOCUT, the automatic knife sharpening system, and the new wide "superlarge" pick-up.
