Well that was Agritechnica some 415,000 visitors make this the world’s largest indoor agricultural machinery exhibition. Included in this number was 100,000 overseas visitors no surprise to us at Pöttinger as we welcomed more British farmers and contractors to the stand than ever before. It was not only customers attending but we also met with a group of our British dealers whom had the chance to see the new developments and products at Pöttinger during the exclusive preview days.
The Pöttinger stand at 1,900m2 was certainly out to impress with several new products on show. The all new Hit 10.11 trailed large tedder was being out through its paces in its own demo area. As always the AutoCut demonstration brings in a big crowd whom are still fascinated by the unit’s ability to offer knife sharpening anytime, anyplace anywhere!
On the Tillage machinery are we saw the first showing of Terrasem Fertiliser a C6 model equipped with the ability to precision place fertiliser with its Exact coulter system. This will be of particular interest to our many of Scottish customers where fertiliser is considered a must when sowing. Another new development was the launch of new Lion power harrow. The Lion 302.12 is a 12 rotor 3 metre machine aimed at those particularly in the vegetable growing areas whom are looking for a very fine tilth. These 12 rotor machines will be offered alongside our existing 10 rotor machines through our network of Pöttinger dealers.
