Lamma Show is fast becoming the major agricultural machinery show in the UK. This key event is held at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire. The venue is ideally located for many of our customers from all over the UK to reach the show either by road, rail or even air – there were many arrivals this year by helicopter thanks to the new heli park at the showground. This ease of access and earlier opening times has seen many visitors arriving very early – as proven when we took our first enquiry of the show at 7.05am!!
For Pöttinger UK we recorded the highest level of interest at any LAMMA Show we have ever attended. Interest was across the board in both grassland and tillage machinery although visitors to our stand could not fail to notice the impressive Jumbo 6610L Combiline forage wagon that was on display. This huge model re-enforced Pöttinger as the Global number 1 in the forage wagon business.
On the tillage machinery front the event saw the introduction of the new Lion 1002 series power harrows which were represented by the 4m Lion 4002 model. New features include a deeper larger gear trough, increased diameter rotor shafts, completely new roller and drill mounting system plus the already popular option of hydraulic bout markers that can be fitted to the power harrow.
Also appealing to arable farmers was the Terrasem C4 on display. This innovative trailed drill is just part of the range of Terrasem’s that stretch from 3m – 9m in working width. Terrasem is proving itself on farms right across the UK and at each event we attend we see greater levels of interest in this capable drilling system.
In all, throughout the show, we welcomed visitors from as far afield as Cornwall and Aberdeenshire proving that LAMMA has truly become an annual national event for those involved with farming.
